An iPhone app for planning barbecue cooks, recording what actually happened, and using comparable completed cooks to inform the next plan.
Better plans start with better evidence.
Barbecue cooks rarely go exactly as planned. Weather, fuel, timing and the food itself can all change what happens along the way. BBQ Replay gives cooks a structured way to plan a cook, record those changes and learn from the completed result without rewriting the original plan.
Keep the plan and reality separate.
The starting recommendation, the cook's chosen plan, changes made during the cook and the final result remain separate. That makes it possible to see what was expected, what changed and what actually worked.
Compare only what is genuinely comparable.
History is useful only when the context is relevant. BBQ Replay lets the user choose which completed cooks should inform a future plan instead of treating every previous cook as equally useful evidence.
Useful without pretending to control the cook.
Temperature readings are entered manually and planning estimates remain advisory. The app helps the cook record and understand what happened without claiming to read or control connected probes automatically.
Keep the history portable.
Local-first storage and offline use keep the app useful around the barbecue, while JSON and CSV exports give the user a practical route to their own cook history.
